What is block training?
Block training is a block of time that you can purchase for your training and assessment needs.
We have morning blocks and afternoon blocks. Each blocks duration is 4 hours (upto 3 hours for training and upto 1 hour for assessments).
How is the morning block structured?
We ask all participants of the morning blocks to:
| Arrival: | Arrive at our office by 7:30am (this time is used for the completion of paperwork and settling into the day). |
| Training: | Training will start at approximately 8:00am (depending on the how long the paperwork takes) and finish at 11:00am. |
| Assessment: | Assessments will start at approximately 11:00am (depending on what assessments you are ready for or scheduled to undertaking). Each block will have a maximum assessment time of 1 hour. The assessment finish time is 12:00pm. |
How is the afternoon block structured?
We ask all participants of the afternoon blocks to:
| Arrival: | Arrive at our office between 11:30am and 12:00pm (this time is used for the completion of paperwork and settling into the day). |
| Training: | Training will start at approximately 12:30pm (depending on the how long the paperwork takes) and finish at 3:30pm. |
| Assessment: | Assessments will start at approximately 3:30pm (depending on what assessments you are ready for or scheduled to undertaking). Each block will have a maximum assessment time of 1 hour. The assessment finish time is 4:30pm. |
How will the learning time be structured?
The learning time will be structured to suit your needs. Some people learn best by doing while others will learn best from talking.
Our training is designed to help you produce your best effort.
What type of assessments are conducted during the assessment period?
The assessment may consist of:
| Full Licensing: | An assessment that meets all licensing requirements. |
| Partial Licensing: | An assessment that partially meets the licensing requirements. A practical component or a theory component. |
| RTO Assessment: | An assessment that evaluates your skills against the national training standards. |
What happens if I can't meet my objective during the block of training?
Simple. We can reschedule another block until you can meet your training objective.
What happens if I am late to my training session?
Unfortunately this time can not be made up and will impact on your training time. We suggest you plan yourself to arrive early so your plans are not impacted.
How many blocks will I need to meet my objective?
This is a difficult question, just like 'how long is a piece of string?'.
We have a recommended number of blocks depending on the licence class you are attempting, but this is only a recommendation. If your abilities allow you to meet the training / licensing requirements in a fewer number of blocks than our recommendation, then we will find this acceptable. Remember, the recommendation is just a recommendation. Some people may require more while some may require less.
Our goal is to provide the training you require to meet your desired outcome.
