A group training session is training provided to more than 1 person at a time.
Rather than doing a 1-on-1 training session, you can also undertake your truck training in a group format. The group sessions are slightly cheaper than 1-on-1 training even though the training time you get behind the wheel is almost exactly the same.
So why spend days training for your licence when you could do it in just one day?
The answer is all about how people learn. Most people’s brains take time to absorb information – especially when learning new skills and routines. Training over multiple days gives your brain time to take in the information you have been given and process it. This can occur during the sessions when you are not driving and also overnight.
In addition, in a group session, you get to learn by watching the other students. You can see what they do well and copy it, and you can see the mistakes they make and avoid those mistakes when it’s your turn behind the wheel.
What courses are the group sessions available for?
|Course Type||Duration Options|
|Medium and Heavy Rigid Courses||2 or 3 Days ✜|
|Forklift Training Days||1 Day|
✜ The TIDE group courses will run for three days for three students or two days for two students. Both group courses give you about the same amount of “behind the wheel” training time and are the same price.
A typical day starts at 7:30am and will finish about 3:30pm. These times are subject to change and will vary depending various tasks that need to be completed.
